Detraktor - Dong Open Air 2017

Detraktor are yet another addition from the Wacken Metal Battle. They’re from Hamburg and since their inception in a cold December night in 2015, they have figuratively thrashed their butts off to finally reap the fruits of their labor. Needless to say, every Detraktor show is a full blow to the face. It doesn’t come as a surprise that the combo incites interest and curiosity in the crowds whose ears they remorselessly blast.

With their 2016 debut “Sunday Poem,” the Detraktor have assigned themselves to the genre “tractor metal”. This involves much less agricultural equipment than you might expect, but Boris, Henrique, and Rafael still put together a more than decent thrash metal package. While taking in all the brute blast beats, solid riffing, and emotional songs, you probably won’t even notice who was steering the tractor that steam rolled you.
