Sunchair - Dong Open Air 2015

Sunchair are pioneers returning to the Dong hill! Bassist Peter, as well as guitarist and mastermind Oliver, have played 32 Dong Open Air days ago with Sunchair's precursor Heartwork. Back then the order of the day was Swedish inspired melodic death metal, today they dedicate their creative output to a very own metal mixture. Somewhere between neo thrash à la Pantera and Machine Head, with some metalcore and sounds that could be labelled as post metal.

It's hard to describe, but easy to rate: Great! No later than their Evolution EP from 2012 that outstandingly ambitious musicians are doing their thing. Pretty badass rhythms combined with the desperate shouts of singer Dave (also in Thalamus) create a brute sound construct, surprising with clear choruses which could almost be played on the radio (for example in Infection and Evolution). Dave's voice is doubtlessly among the most remarkable ones among all of the bands that applied to play in 2015. We are looking forward to another gem from our region that also happened to win the "Metal New School” category at the 2014 UnBaCo contest!
