Debauchery - Dong Open Air 2015

When the conversation shifts to blood dripping death metal from Germany, the inclined listener will certainly mention Debauchery first. And rightfully so, as the spawn of warm bowels and inflationarily used body fluids is more than a technically flawless troupe, they know quite literally what it means to put their life blood and their soul into the genre.

Thomas, founder, boss, and “singer” of the band, also happened to entertain the slightly mellower band Big Ball and continues to run his solo project “Blood God.” Let’s not forget that he gave up the future of a tenured job to be free from the criticism of fake moralizers, dedicating his life to music.

Today, the ninth (!) Debauchery album is about to be released and we can feel our excited heart beat all the way up to our chin when we think of a sequel of “Back in Blood,” “Blood for the Blood God,” “Death Metal Maniac,” and all of the other classics at a record release show up on the Dong hill!
