Beyond The Black - Dong Open Air 2015
Beyond the Black only first saw the light of day in 2014 and proved to be fairly premature! They impressed the makers of the Wacken Open Air easily, thus saving them a slot in the billing for the show on the infamous fields, and booking Beyond the Black for the Hamburg Metal Dayz. Their first steps on the metal stages of this world clearly showed the trademarks of the newcomers from Mannheim: The distinctive voice of singer a multi-instrumentalist Jennifer, easily outshining many a musician in the business. And then there are the choruses that linger in your brain long after the last lights were switched off.
The best example for the unique talents of the band is shown and heard in their music video for "In the Shadows," which got to make use of the Viking movie "Northmen” - All of the songs of their debut album "Songs of Love and Death” were refined by no one less than Sascha Paeth (Avantasia). The musicians have been warming up playing as support for Saxon in the UK and as a headliner for their own shows in four German metropolises - ready to climb the Olympus of female fronted metal.
