Truckfighters - Dong Open Air 2013

Seriously? Their name and the cover art of their album “Gravity X” alone should earn the Fighters a star at the Walk of Fame. But there is much more to this trio. To Josh Homme, they are not only the “best band to ever exist,” but also the original inspiration for Kyuss.

Despite their success, the guys from Örebro, Sweden are still down to earth and supported the newcomers of Kvelertak on their tour – which eventually led to the situation that the shows in Berlin and Hamburg had to be moved to bigger venues. All this modesty may stem from the fact that Ozo, Dango and Poncho feel like they are replaceable, like their former colleagues Fredo, Paco, Franco, Frongo and Pedro. In 2011, “Truckfighters – a Fuzzomentary” documented their oeuvre for future generations!

Neukirchen-Vluyn better get ready for heavy riffs and sweat dropping off the ceiling for the first Stoner band at the D.O.A. ever!
