Finntroll - Dong Open Air 2013

When the last millennium came to a close, the Finnish forests awoke. Stories were told. At first they were only told to pass the time, but soon only some of the bravest dared to utter the rumors after night had fallen. The silence made room for frightened peeks through the windows; the lights were extinguished early on. And when people started to disappear during their work in the forests, people realized: The old tale of the trolls had become an awful reality.

Too bad for everyone who doesn’t really like to party. For those who can’t stand fast and playful metal. The type of musical style illustrious newcomers like Korpiklaani, Turisas or Equilibrium joined, and which was followed by one of the greatest hypest of newer metal history. One of the things that followed the first show of the Finns at the Dong Open Air, was that the excessive number of crowdsurfers (festival record!) lead to the introduction of stage barriers. Now the band is back with their sixth album and the party goes on!
