Distinguished audience,
we got the most important facts settled: We shall see each other yet again from July 15-17 at the Dong Open Air in beautiful Neukirchen-Vluyn on the lower Rhine. Last July, we already announced the first bands who will join us. But here’s a little rewind, in case you were taking a nap.
- Hammerfall will travel to see us to celebrate their 30th anniversary with you – and with classic Swedish power metal. Hearts on Fire!
- Gloryhammer have confirmed and will be bringing their new album “SPACE 1993: WRATH OF KOR-VIRLIATH” to the party. Bigger, louder… and with spaceships?
- Morgana Lefay will finally get around to follow up on their sadly cancelled 2008 Dong show. We are very excited to finally get these heavy metal pioneers to our favorite hill.
- Chapel of Disease have broadened their musical horizons since their death metal beginnings. Get ready for heavy riffs with blues-y leads, flowing melodies and extensive musical field trips into 70s rock.
- The Excrementory Grindfuckers are more than your most unhinged intrusive thoughts said out loud and acted upon. They are the musical Mona Lisa. Drawn by a drunken leprechaun with crayons.
- Since 1999 Stillbirth, have proven time and again, that surfing and death metal make a highly functional mixture. Brutal, but summer approved.
- Temptations for the Weak mixsnappy thrash riffs with the oomph of metal core and melodies that get stuck in your head even after the last drumbeat has fizzled out. About time to give into this temptation!
