Thank you for the twentieth Dong Open Air!
Being able to actually celebrate the twentieth Dong Open Air this past weekend after three years of waiting felt rather unreal. Having the best imaginable weather and not a single dropout in the line up was simply the cherry on top.
We are immensely happy that the new set up with the open air stage, more space for the audience, more seating, and the great view was met with arms as open as we had hoped.
We are truly sorry and apologize for the long wait times at the wristband booth on Thursday. We are working on a more elegant solution for the future.
We appreciate your patience, the boisterous atmosphere in front of the stage at all times and with all bands – from the bottom of our hearts! This is what we missed the most during these past three years!
How you partied along, be it with the groovy Saturday opener Dirty Shirt, Master Headliner Blind Guardian, DJ Benne's after show party or any of the other 25 acts. This is something we won't easily forget.
We would also like to thank the local code enforcement agency, the voluntary fire brigade of the City of Neukirchen-Vluyn, the Order of the Malta volunteers, and our incredible crew, particularly the army of volunteers. This festival would not be possible without all of you.
We are already looking forward to seeing you at the next Dong!
Metal is the law!
