The directions to Mount Moshmore have already been studied and these four bands are already thinking about what they can delight you with in mid-July!
Harakiri for the Sky are getting ready and packed their suitcases with their unique sound: a mixture of powerful black metal and atmospheric post-rock! As pioneers of the post-movement, the Austrians have impressed fans and critics with their multi-layered musical gems on five studio albums since their formation in 2011. Are you ready?
Escula Grind say they are the band you play to your little cousin to get them interested in heavy music. The US-American band imports grindcore and powerviolence to Neukirchen-Vluyn and plans to put even the most trained eardrums to the test!
Germany’s hardest boyband (est. 2012) Chaosbay have been keeping the scene and the trade press on their toes ever since their debut. Clean vocals and infernal growls plus prog with lead-heavy riffs and catchy melodies? Check! We are looking forward to their arrival!
Steelpreacher from Koblenz pay homage to the festival god like no other German heavy metal band and are famous for their beer-soaked live performances. The sharp riffs, driving vocals and energetic drums are reminiscent of 1980s icons such as W.A.S.P., AC/DC, Accept and Saxon. The perfect band for a balmy evening on “our” mountain.
These four bands will then join Behemoth, Blind Guardian, In Extremo, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Equilibrium, Deserted Fear, The Night Flight Orchestra, Wucan, Nanowar of Steel, Drone, Neurotic Machinery, Scarnival, Nephylim, Subterranean Masquerade, Vulture Industries, The Night Eternal, Dust Bolt and Elvellon from 11 to 13 July! And who else is missing?
Looking forward to new discoveries,
your Dong Team
