Dear pilgrims of Mount Moshmore,
From July 15th to 17th 2027, we’ll be ready to rumble on Halde Norddeutschland in Neukirchen-Vluyn. Maybe even on Wednesday afternoon, prior to this, if you are so inclined as to spend an extra night on the hill. Anticipation is on the rise, so we figured, three more bands for the line up could help with that!
When Fear Factory hit it with their industrial neo thrash groove metal, it’s not just California that’s covered by a musical mushroom cloud. Relentless crossfire from the double base plasma gun, guttural screams and sterile vocals: Get ready to find out what it feels like when the fear of the ever grinding moshpit teaches you how to pull your spine through your auditory canal!
Ever since their inception in 1980s Athens, Rotting Christ have made it their mission to turn the world a little darker. Almost four decades in, and the band maintained their position at the spearhead of the European black metal scene – still not tired. The Greeks have, without a doubt, established their own style and know truly how to captivate a live audience in a dark atmosphere – get ready to move Mount Moshmore a little closer to Hades.
You may know Words of Farewell both from the Dong stage, but also as guests in the moshpit. In 2027, the sextet celebrates their 20th band anniversary and thus two decades of uncompromising Swedish death metal forged in Marl. Their brand-new album “Heirs to Apathy” comes with brutal riffs, intricately woven synth elements, and simply a decent blend of melodeath with prog elements. The perfect mixture for when you feel like having a tall man scream at you.
These three get in line with Hammerfall, Gloryhammer, Morgana Lefay, Stillbirth, Chapel of Disease, Excrementory Grindfuckers, and Temptations for the Weak. So get ready for a weekend, which (according to local myth) does not only consist of music, beer and a beautiful view, but also allows you to finally surround yourself with normal people again.
Here’s where you get your tickets to the party. These, by the way, make excellent Christmas gifts. Just a quick heads up if you want to get this settled before things start to get hectic.
In anticipation
Your Dong Team
