Dear Dong Community,
the 2025 Dong Open Air is over, the hill disassembled (ok, just the stage) – but the memories of this wonderful festival remain. And all thanks to you!
We spent an extended weekend in the sun (and a charming small rain cloud during Kreator, which didn’t dampen your spirits) that will live on in our hearts for a long while. The atmosphere was consistently excellent, peaceful and energetic – all across the hill top, in front of the stage and of course in DJ Benne’s party tent.
You once again showed that the Dong audience is a very special community. Friendly, considerate, a little rackety, and with the biggest hearts – we are proud to make a festival for great people like you.
Our greatest thanks also goes to:
- The hundreds of volunteers who use their passion, sweat, and great spirits to actually allow this festival to take place.
- The Order of the Maltese (EMTs), the police and the local authorities who helped us ensure a safe weekend
- And of course the fire fighters with their legendary slip n slide and the “watering” in front of the stage for some much needed cooling-off.
- Another big thank you to the fantastic bands who rocked the hill and delivered unforgettable shows!
Our merch sold out faster than before (despite us ordering more) – so special thanks to ArtWorx for working the night to make new shirts for us so we’d have fresh supply for you the next day.
What remains is a fat smile, some sore muscles, a little hangover, and memories of a festival that had everything a Dong heart yearns for.
We are very excited for 2026 – we’re already making plans and are looking forward to share some news with you soon!
Thank you for being you. Thank you for your energy. Thank you for Dong.
See you on Mount Moshmore!
Your Dong-Team
