The mobile destruction commando Contradiction has been destroying stage after stage of the local metal scene for an incredible span of thirty-four years. It’s not for nothing that the Teutonic thrashers have established their reputation as a brilliant live band, because when the Wuppertal based band shows up, no stone is left standing. Be it when the guys were the first foreign band to play the Icelandic Eistnatflug festival or when they return to the Dong Open Air for their fifth tryst.
At the push of a button, the quartet delivers fast, aggressive pearls of thrash art, but also mixes things up with slower songs that remind of Exodus or Testament. Admittedly, their most recent album “The Origin of Violence” has been around for a while. Still, we can assure you that Contradiction are by no means yesterday’s news. Quite the opposite is true: When the guys have finished running you through the thrash ginder, you may just need a little extra peace and quiet!
