The Dong Open Air without the Halde Norddeutschland? Impossible! Year after year metal fans from all over the place go on a pilgrimage to the hill top, rocking out at 100m above sea level. The seclusion of nature, the spectacular view of lower Rhine and Ruhr region, as well as the familiar atmosphere at the festival make the Dong hill, as the metal scene calls the location, a very special place.
